Spring Breakaway Camp

If you are staying home during District 65’s Spring Break, why not join Team Evanston coaches for our second annual “Breakaway” soccer camp at Team Evanston’s indoor facility? Players will be able to fine tune their dribbling, passing, shooting/finishing, and receiving and turning skills, then apply those skills in small-sided games. In addition, players will participate in fun games and contests throughout the week. It will be a great way to burn off some of the energy that always seems to accumulate during breaks, as well as get ready for the Spring season, which will be just a couple of weeks after the camp.

If your player won't be around the entire week, they are welcome to join us for one or a few of the days. Please contact Team Administrator, Rich Hollingsworth (info@teamevanston.org or 847-748-1452) for a pro-rated amount.

Ages/Cost: U04-U06 Little Champions, $200/week 9:00-11:00 a.m.

                   U07-U13 Champions, $250/week 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

Team Evanston Summer Camps

Team Evanston will be offering camps thoughout the Summer of 2016, for players at all ages and skill levels. Most include half-day and full-day options.

For most of these camps, Team Evanston offers three different options:
  • Little Champions - 9:00am-11:00am for 4-7 year olds
  • Half-Day - 9:00am-12:00am for 8-14 year olds
  • Full-Day - 9:00am-3:00pm for 8-14 year olds, with afternoons consisting of special sessions and trips to the Centennial Pool in Wilmette
More Information about each option is provided below.
 
Little Champions:
This program is designed specifically for 4-7 year old soccer players, and it runs from 9:00am - 11:00am. The program is filled with soccer specific activities to introduce players to the game in a fun and safe environment. 
 
Half Day Camp:
This program is suited for 8-14 year old boys and girls at all skill levels. It runs from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability. They will engage in a variety of fun activities that will hone their skills and tactics.  
 
Full Day:
This program runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and is open to all 8-14 year old players. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Participants will engage in a variety of fun activities that hone players skills. Following lunch, the afternoon session will consist of small-sided games or coaches' activities and swimming at the Wilmette Centennial Pool.  
 
Necessary Equipment
All players will need to bring the following equipment to camp each day:
  • Water/Sports drink
  • Cleats, shinguards, socks, ball
  • Snack
  • Sunscreen
Full-day campers should also bring the following each day:
  • Brown bag lunch (lunches will not be refrigerated, please plan accordingly)
  • Sunscreen
  • Towel
  • Bathing suit
  • Sandals
 
Drop-Off/Pick-up:
All campers should arrive between 8:45am-9:00am and check in with the club administrator. For the Little Champions and Half Day campers, pick up will be at Lovelace Park. For the full day campers pick up is at Wilmette Centennial Pool. For camps at Lazier Field, pick up is just inside the main entrance to the stadium, along Church Street.  In order to pick up your child from camp, a parent or nanny must be present, unless we get a written note stating that they may walk or ride their bike home. 
 
Lunch/Snack:
Little Champions and Half Day campers should bring a snack to camp in a marked container. All Full Day campers need to bring both a snack and a lunch. We recommend that each camper brings his/her own water bottle. Team Evanston does not provide water coolers with which water bottles can be refilled. Please make sure that all lunch bags and water bottles are clearly marked with identification.

Registration Information:
If you are a returning Team Evanston family, simply log-in and register for the camp. If you are new to our club, you will need to create an account, add your child, and then register them for the camp. 
 
Inclement Weather Information/Cancellation Policy: 
If the forecast is particularly wet early on a day of camp, an e-blast will be sent out to registered families alerting them that the session will be moved to the Team Evanston indoor facility at 2025 W. Dempster St. (map/location here).  In case of sudden or temporary inclement weather, players will be brought under the shelters at Lovelace Park and coaches will attempt to wait out the weather. If the coaching staff decides to cancel, parents will be notified by phone.
